Folly cover
Released

With the band long split and Patrick Fitzgerald pursuing a wide variety of other musical pursuits as well as his employment in the medical field, it came as a delightful surprise when news of the Kitchens’ reunion album in 2013 surfaced, the full trio back together one last time. A strictly studio effort with no supporting tour, Folly was a sweet addendum for a fanbase that had stood by them; Julian Swales’s guitars sounded as striking as ever, and Fitzgerald’s lyrics meditating on nostalgia and loss on “Japan to Jupiter” and “Oak Tree” were among his most moving.
