Negativconcertland

Released

Not, strictly speaking, an official album, Negativconcertland was a product of the heyday of 90s CD bootlegs in the pre-CDR/filesharing era, but as such provides an enjoyable document of the group’s tour showcasing their recovery from and response to the double kerfluffle with U2 and then SST and Greg Ginn in the early 1990s. Lacking the video element of the presentation makes for an incomplete record but whether it’s their folk revamp “The Hellbound Plane,” the manic “Perfect Scrambled Eggs” or the audience wails in response to “Four Fingers,” it’s a treat.
