Oceans Apart

The Go-Betweens

2005
EMI

Nobody expected Oceans Apart to be the last Go-Betweens album, not after the reactivation of the core Robert Forster/Grant McLennan partnership had built up to the point where this album, the third of the reunion cycle, was regarded as being the equal of such earlier classics as Spring Hill Fair and Tallulah. But fate intervened, leaving the partnership to bow out with such striking songs as “Darlinghurst Nights” and “Boundary Rider” as the unintentional final statement of their remarkable work together.
