Simultaneously creating a years-later tribute to UK glam’s chart-ruling pomp, a state of the art electronic — indeed, practically industrial — arena rock monster and a secret laying of the foundation for any number of country acts and performers to come may seem like something out of fiction. But that and more is exactly what Hysteria is, legendarily the product of the band and producer Mutt Lange scrutinizing everything down to the note and eventually ending up with smash singles and chart dominance to prove the point.
