A Passage in Time

Released

Dead Can Dance’s subcultural reputation was so notable by the start of the 1990s that it seemed inevitable some US label would take the seeming risk of releasing work by such an unclassifiable duo. Rykodisc finally did so with a licensed collection of songs from 4AD. While named after a song on their first self-titled release, A Passage In Time drew on their subsequent four albums where they explored their stirring blend of world musics and archaic approaches, including one new song each sung by Lisa Gerrard and Brendan Perry as a fine bonus.
