Forging a path all their own, Santiago de Chile’s Miss Garrison demonstrates on this album a way to fuse electronics, pop, and rock abandon into a singular sound. Powered by Fran Straube’s amazing vocals, most of the songs on Al Sol de Noche aim for texture along with hooks, giving us mood pieces like “Navegante” which culminate in a climax of synthlines and guitar riffs that are very difficult to resist, while the ghastly tone coupled with warmth of tracks like “29” delivers a different kind of emotional gravitas.
