Growing out of a series of shows that Goldston and Kelley played together in the two years prior to its release, All Points Leaning In, recorded by production stalwart Steve Fisk, captures the cellist and trumpeter combining their equally compelling ears for vivid drone-touched and murmuring explorations on their instruments to vivid effect. Consisting of four pieces, All Points Leaning In sets the tone from the start with “Towards Clarity,” building up to the shattering conclusion of “Seeing Stars,” where their intense interplay at the end makes for a gripping climax.
