Babylon

I understand that the guys in Skindred really hate being compared to Bad Brains. But I’m sorry, the fact is that it’s a good comparison. It’s not exactly that they sound alike (they really don’t) but rather that the concept is similar: you’ve got a virtuoso singer with about ten different voices being accompanied by a virtuoso band that switches effortlessly between hardcore punk, roots reggae, dancehall, and metal. Oh, and jungle. Babylon is one of the most exciting albums of the 2000s.
