Bloweyelashwish

The astonishing debut by US shoegaze duo Lovesliescrushing was one of the earliest and best responses to My Bloody Valentine’s Loveless itself, nearly matching it for absolute feedback overdrive and hooks anchoring utter sonic violence. Right from the start, as “Babysbreath” alternates between a keening tone that may or may not be vocals and an overwhelming roar of noise, Bloweyelashwish underscores how this musical approach can be more overwhelming than most metal or noise acts.
