B. Cool-Aid is a group made up of rapper/singer Pink Siifu and Producer Awhlee. Though they refer to their work together as a modern outcropping of neo-soul music, there is a case to be made that it is just the most accessible portion of hip-hop polymath Siifu’s diverse output. Siifu and Awhlee, with engineer Swarvy (a talented producer in his own right), share an easy chemistry, creating a smoked-out, atmospheric soundscape that is less challenging but more directly enjoyable than some of Siifu’s more challenging music, which is also very much worth seeking out.
