Burned

Released

The one collaboration between Ian McCulloch and Will Sergeant that hasn’t occurred under the Echo & the Bunnymen banner, Electrafixion found the two principals attempting a creative restart during the long 1990s hiatus of their main band, and doing so in a sometimes striking way. McCulloch was open about aiming to rock out more on the level of new grunge deities and acts like the Smashing Pumpkins and Sergeant kicks up a good amount of feedback throughout Burned, with songs like “Zephyr” and “Lowdown” retaining their knack for solid hooks.
