Carlos, Erasmo…

Released

Tropicália, Brazil’s subversive artistic movement led by musicians with lysergic and anti-nationalist leanings, had faded by the 1970s. Yet songwriter Erasmo Carlos gathered several remaining Tropicálistas early that decade to craft Carlos, Erasmo…, a psychedelic pop gem bursting with orchestral touches and even a church bell beat on “Agora Ninguém Chora Mais.”
