No denying you’ll find this in the cheese section: Tanja Lainio wears her crucified heart on her lacy sleeves over big crunchy post-nu metal riffs, singing about heartbreak with the subtlety of HIM’s Ville Valo. The band’s mastery of hooks makes this tainted love absolutely irresistible. What “Don’t Touch the Flame” and “Pitch Black Emotion” lack in nuance they more than make up for in sheer unchained catchiness.
