Dissolution Grip

Released

KMRU’s astonishing run of albums continued in late 2023 with Dissolution Grip, the first release on his own standalone label OFNOT. Consisting of two quarter-hour pieces (three in digital format), it found the artist in a new phase of compositional specifics: rather than directly using found-sound recordings, they formed the basis of electronic compositions that were further refined. The mix of presence and suggestion on the slow rolling tension of “Till Hurricane Bisect” and the increasingly buzzing energy of the title track makes for gripping, uneasy contemplation.
