Bassist Patrick Taylor lives in LA; musician and digital processing whiz John Atkinson lives in New York. During the pandemic they sent each other files, collaborating for the first time in a decade of friendship (partially centered on a fantasy basketball league). What they created is a non-repetitive sprawl of upright bass and clarinet and electronics. There are few matchings of live musicianship and in-the-box processing that work this well, that are so fruitfully unlooped and deliciously tactile.
