Mexico City’s Crimen had already shown a knack for pairing simple hardcore punk riffs with just a bit of melody to make frenetically fun music. On their second album, they expand their sound while remaining true to their violent ways. While “La marcha de las vocales” demonstrates that there is still plenty of the inspiration that fueled their debut, tracks like “Traición” plunge into deep deathrock darkness only to come out the other side to fuck it up in the pit with “Bien chafa.”
