Some trios sound like one person playing but this drum and sax duo sounds like ten. Very generous use of echo and delay helps this workout expand into a healthy and hypnotic thing. They’ve got the vision of some minor stadium band and all the grit of a Southern soul outfit, plus a lot of pure freak.
