Friend or Foe

Released

After Prince Charming, Adam Ant formally disbanded the Ants for a solo career, but in practical terms little changed — Marco Pirroni remained his guitarist and key collaborator, giddy slyness and general sauce abounded, and his string of entertaining videos kept doing the business. Friend Or Foe not only kept up the hit streak but provided his American chart and radio breakthrough with the giddy rockabilly/glam of “Goody Two-Shoes,” while other singles and album cuts like “Desperate But Not Serious” and “Place In The Country” keep the party going.
