Craft skip over all the problematic aspects of black metal’s hatred for groups of humans and go straight for utter nihilism. Fuck the Universe sums up their philosophy pretty well: destroy it all and let the uncaring cosmos sort it out. As bleak as that may sound, Craft make the prospect of universal annihilation seem almost fun. Clear, live-in-studio production lets the listener appreciate every last nuance of their misanthropy as they tear through choice black ‘n’ roll implosions like the title track and “Demonspeed.” Proof that black metal’s for (ending) everybody.
