Another supplement to Rhino’s Nuggets box set overviews of the worldwide garage/psych sixties scene, Hallucinations zeroes in more specifically on obscurities and intriguing one-offs with a more overtly freaked out edge, if still aiming to be hits one way or another. Little surprise acts like the Electric Prunes or the West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band take bows, but further joys result from the even more aspiring but still obscure such as the Misty Wizards and Brass Buttons.
