With the help of Swedish phenom Michael Amott, everyone’s favorite Liverpudlian lacerators cleaned the gore off their scalpels and sharpened their blades until they could slice an atom in half. The focus on unabashed, unashamed melodic guitar work and Colin Richardson’s slick production (none of the Morrisound dryness or Sunlight sludge here) opened whole new wounds for death metal bands to bleed from.
