His ‘n’ Hers cover

His ‘n’ Hers

Released

His ‘n’ Hers almost seems like a debut album for Pulp rather than being their fourth full length, as well as following a number of singles, but in many ways it really is a kind of formal debut, not merely on a major label but as a now distinct, polished (but not TOO well polished) brand of UK rock where the end of the pier met the electronically triumphant. Indeed, it almost seemed like “Do You Remember The First Time?” would be the band’s all time anthem then, while songs like “Have You Seen Her Lately?” and “Happy Endings” were epic ballads of dreams deferred, Jarvis Cocker increasingly in finer voice.
