One thing about Nashville pop is that it is generally more open to the past of American rock radio than, well, current American rock radio. So Morris has as much Pat Benatar and Heart as she has Taylor and Dolly, and a heavy dose of Sheryl Crow and Bonnie Raitt too. Morrison is domestic, horny, goofy and has a middle range in her voice as good as Sinatra’s.
