I Get Wet

Released

Released in November 2001, Andrew WK’s debut inadvertently provided the perfect balm for metal fans reeling from the traumatic events of the previous September. An unapologetic ode to living in the moment and appreciating the small things in life, his piano-driven major key update of power pop and glam metal celebrated partying, pretty girls, and those two things again in ebullient bite-sized bursts. It was so earnest some critics couldn’t tell if it was supposed to be a joke. Joke’s on them – this is the most fun you can have while keeping all your bodily fluids on the inside.
