An album with a title like I Love Dubstep can reasonably be expected to consist of shiny, overbearing, radio-oriented brostep workouts. But this two-disc compilation on the Rinse label will fake you out if you’re not paying close attention. Notice the artist roster: Skream, Benga, Digital Mystikz, Caspa — these are avatars of the UK’s deep and dark dubstep scene, and the tracks that they and their compatriots provide represent an overview of dubstep’s more serious, less club-oriented school. Disc 1 is mixed by Youngsta and disc 2 by Geeneus, and both are outstanding.
