Released

Logg was a pseudonym used by influential US singer/songwriter, keyboard player and producer Leroy Burgess who produced a single Logg album in 1981. It’s a masterpiece of the ‘Boogie’ genre: soulful, post-disco pre-house 4/4 dance music. It’s all dance floor material that fuses live bass and percussion with synths, topped off with soulful piano and gospel-influenced vocals. It was an important record in the development of soul, disco, R’n’B and was a precursor to the house music explosion that would follow a few years later. It’s also a joyous, euphoric and uplifting listen.
