My Noise Is Nothing

A quiet and beautiful surprise for the waning months of 2023, My Noise Is Nothing found two Scots artists, experimental electronic/ambient producer Lord of the Isles and poet Ellen Renton, working to create a striking, elegant fusion. Aside from two instrumental tracks, including the stirring opener “Let The Colours Flood In,” all tracks feature Renton’s crisply low-key delivery of her work, conversational while creating vivid observational imagery. Highlights include the calm tension of “A Discovery,” the piano-led “Don’t You Ache” and the slow pulse of “A Portrait.”
