No Sun
Released
Having helped to establish the lo-fi electronic style that would come to be known as chillwave, Ramona Gonzalez took a new direction with No Sun. Minimalistic electronic pulses and catchy melodies along with Gonzalez’s unadorned vocal delivery build the foundation of No Sun, as heard on tracks like the Laurie Anderson-gone-nostalgic “Anymore,” the stripped-down synthpop of “To Feel It,” and the warm-yet-yearning cover of Sun Ra’s “When There Is No Sun.”
