Nomad Songs

Released

In addition to playing an astonishing variety of instruments, Stephan Micus travels to absorb souls and spirits along the way. By the time he returns to the studio, he has fit each tool into a grammar all his own. In this regard, Nomad Songs is another level of self-development. Two new companions: the genbri (a Moroccan bass lute) and the ndingo (a kalimba-like instrument favored by the San of Southern Africa), share breathing room with steel-string guitar, Balinese recorder, and more. Not only is this some of Micus’s finest work; it is also his most meticulously recorded and mastered.
