Progressing beyond thrash and into heretofore undiscovered cosmic jazz realms, Québec’s finest tech metal warlords sharpened their racket to an atom-thick microfilament edge on their fifth album. These songs are all angles, zip zooming through the cyberpunk aether and making the first-album Pink Floyd cover seem relatively straightforward. No other band has captured the sheer claustrophobic terror of unfettered technological advancement this effectively.
