Part-Primitiv

Released

Following various rereleases and archival efforts, Section 25 reactivated in 2001 but initial plans for a new album fell by the wayside due to the death of Jenny Cassidy née Ross from cancer in 2004. Part-Primitiv eventually surfaced in 2007 containing some of her last work, with Vin Cassidy rejoining his brother Larry along with two new members, including Tunnelvision veteran Ian Butterworth. It’s the crispest and most direct they’d sounded yet, with songs like “Can’t Let Go,” “Roma” and “She’s So Pretty” a mix of brawling rock energy and icy cool synth tension.
