Piano Man Breeds Love
Released
This duo describes their style as “lizard lounge jazz and French noir sleaze with sinking ship piano improvisations in underwater organ suits.” And that’ll just about get you to the hub of what they’re about. The basic proto-drum machines of early electric organs; mondo exploits films’ attempts to evoke tropical heat; hints of zombies, sex and romance; the psychedelia of whisky and cigars. It’s all there. It’s a distant cousin of Tom Waits, of Tipsy, of Money Mark, but it’s run away from its family to tend bar on a very small island where nobody will find it.
