Pripyat

Catalan pianist and energy merchant Herlop grabs that Juana Molina baton and runs the competition into the median with her pitch-shifting Fury Road rig. In the middle of all the smoke is a cluster bomb of voices, piano in the side car, laying down bits of slow and plangent harmony. Her videos have llamas and bioforms and knitted outfits that suggest a new wing for The Björk Collection. Pripyat is a hectic and invigorating album that does a lot with the human voice, enough that it makes you wonder what everyone else is up to.
