Robota

Released

Employing an arsenal of vintage synthesizers, Mexico City’s Robota made electronic music that pushed itself to the extreme, rocking harder while breaking the very foundation of rock music. On their debut outing, seven bite-sized numerically-titled pieces fine-tune distortion to craft their exhilarating instrumental music. Every track hits like a mini-epic, sounding too damaged to qualify as retro-leaning synthwave and too melodic to be freeform experimental noise. Here, Robota’s riffs buzz with excitement within frantic rhythms that defy categorization.
