Stand Up and Fight

It took war-painted Finnish folk metal outfit Turisas to bring power metal to its natural evolutionary conclusion: showtunes. Whether it’s preparing for battle, hunting pirates, or fighting for their lives in a gladiatorial arena, this six-piece harnesses their digital orchestra and vocal harmonies to take traditional metal subjects straight over the top and into an entirely transcendent new strata that nobody (even themselves) has been able to match since.
