Super Black Market Clash

Recorded
1977-1982
Released

The 10” vinyl release Black Market Clash gave American and Canadian fans the chance to buy a bunch of songs that had previously only been available in the UK: “Capital Radio One,” “City of the Dead,” the band’s cover of Willie William’s extremely dread “Armageddon Time,” etc. This 1993 CD reissue expanded the original program significantly, but at the cost of several tracks found on the original — for example, the dub version of “Bankrobber” is missing, as is the sharp “Cheat.” But it’s still a generous collection of essential early Clash material.
