Sweet FA

The followup to Hot Trip To Heaven was a fraught experience for Love and Rockets — on the one hand the commercial failure of Hot Trip led to record company pressure to record a more ‘rock’ album, on the other a disastrous fire ended up destroying both their equipment (as shown on the cover) and months of work. Sweet FA did finally emerge at the other end of it all, sounding somewhat out of place in the post-grunge years of alternative radio, but songs like “Sweet Lover Hangover,” “Natacha” and the lilting title track showed the magic was still there.
