It makes sense they’d make an album together—Khruangbin are the instrumental trio who hit way bigger and much better than anyone expected five years ago, and Leon Bridges is the same but for American soul singing, whatever that is. Texas Moon is essentially the second half of an album they started in 2020 with Texas Sun; you can also think of them as EPs, like it says on the sticker. Khruangbin beats are always soft and roomy, and Bridges nestles among them nicely. This sounds like the third set of the night at God’s own noodles and beer joint.
