At the Speed of Twisted Thought…

The Lansing, Michigan-bred band The Fix was active for less than two years, from 1980 to 1982—a mighty run that became a foundational influence on Midwestern hardcore. The band’s riveting punk tunes were limited to rare Discogs finds until Touch and Go reissued their live tracks, singles, and demos in 2006. Dubbed At the Speed of Twisted Thought, the compilation is a lean and searing listen, the sonic distillation of a mosh pit in all its sweat and salvation.
