Lima, Perú’s Christian Galarreta is a globetrotting multi-disciplinary artist who experiments with sound His song-oriented project Sajjra synthesizes many of his interests into a singular vision; subdued voices follow Autechre-like beats, shoegaze-like swirling guitars are bent with industrial harshness, and a dreamy Andean spirit presents itself subtly throughout. At the center is the 27-minute epic “The Sound Remains The Same,” a monolithic and minimalistic abstract piece.
