The Ways Of Man cover
Released

Still one of the best albums ever released by the Folk Legacy label, the second release by the trio of Gordon Bok, Ann Mayo Muir and Ed Trickett is a collection of traditional and contemporary folk songs along with originals by Bok. Bok’s combination of jaw-droppingly virtuosic fingerstyle guitar and a rich, chesty bass-baritone voice are the primary features here, but Trickett and Muir are both brilliant singers as well, and their style of harmony singing is both original and immediately attractive. Highlights include the a cappella “Wee Dark Engine Room” and the Bok-composed title track.
