Tomorrow’s Harvest

Released

This is up there with The Sciences (Sleep) and Beyond (Dino Jr) and Yeezus when we talk late period triumphs. Why didn’t the brothers keep going? They hung onto their most expressive synths and found a new thing to do with the drums that wasn’t just low calories hip-hop. The mood is darker, and that’s welcome. Things are falling apart this time, and it’s totally gorgeous. I hoped for a few years that this would be the start of the next phase but it entirely makes sense as a final statement.
