Trio Music, Live In Europe

Released

Pianist Chick Corea + bassist Miroslav Vitous + drummer Roy Haynes = pure wonder. The first proof of this equation was 1982’s Trio Music. Two years later, they released this live follow-up live from a European tour. Each musician is in such top form that it feels heretical to point out one solo over another—each is a full thesis statement unto itself. The level of joy achieved and shared on these stages through such tunes as “The Loop” and “I Hear A Rhapsody” is bright enough to warrant squinting. Flawless is the only word that comes to mind.
