Maria do Céu Whitaker Poças did not stick with the approach of this 2016 album, which she co-produced with Hervé Salters and Pupillo (also the drummer here). It recalls other great Brazilian hybrids like the Maris Monte albums produced by Arto Lindsay, or Marina Lima. The blend of acoustic and electronic and electric instrumentation is completely unforced and blends perfectly with Céu’s nbd approach to singing. Could happily listen to ten more albums of this.
