Often unfairly described as a Francophone version of AC/DC (they cover “Ride On” and the singer sounds kinda like Bon Scott), Trust follow their own idiosyncratic instincts – their Aussie compatriots never had a disco breakdown in the middle of one of their songs. An English redo of opening track “Préfabriqués” is one of the few actual heavy metal tunes on the Heavy Metal soundtrack, they go way more political (even comparing the police to a World War II fascist organization), their Judas Priest-style guitars give way to ye-ye. They weren’t quite as antisocial as on the follow-up but what society would accept them in the first place?
