Twentieth Century

Released

Having started Swansea Sound during COVID lockdown and making a fine initial splash with their debut Live At The Rum Puncheon, the core of Hue Williams of the Pooh Sticks, Amelia Fletcher and Rob Pursey of Heavenly and more besides and Thrashing Doves vet Ian Button kept on keeping on in 2023. Twentieth Century again remains exactly what one would expect from them and is all the better for it, a kicky, rough-edged but never sloppy romp, with songs like “I Don’t Like Men In Uniform” and the hilarious “Markin’ It Down” wearing hearts on sleeves.
