Black-Wave

Emblematic of synth punk’s shift into the garage and punk revival communities, Lost Sounds was a side project of garage legend Jay Reatard. The approach is shorn of the political context of influences like Suicide and the Screamers. What’s left is the beyond-nervous energy and burbling sci-fi synths, and that makes this album a complete blast.
