The fellas just wanted to get together and so they did, with Sons of Kemet drummer Tom Skinner. It is impossible to not compare this in some way to previous non-Radiohead albums so think of it as less beat-happy than Thom’s solo records and less mopey than Atoms For Peace. Rooted in the groove work Thom loves and with Jonny’s sense of harmonic spread, with a lot of good Afrobeat cradling. Where would be without their arpeggi? Honestly, possibly underrated, this one.
