A Shared Place

Released

Greig Baird’s continuing project of solo ambient work as Moss Covered Technology lives up to its name with A Shared Place, drawing on memories of a UK coastline visit during a storm with his partner to create something suggestive of past electronic sounds and styles seeping into a memory of the present. The high tones of “Shoreline Constellations” sound like the distant afterechoes of long-silenced theremins. Meanwhile, “Storm Waning,” though not the concluding track, feels like light emerging, a cyclical synth pattern providing the serene underpinning.
