Uploaded in May of 2015, this hour-plus of eighties R&B classics comes from a Croydon dubstep OG — and its boisterous energy would be a tonic from anyone. There are a couple of ringers, some selections obvious, many not, in which even the Big Hits are never predictable and are also constantly thrilling, thanks to Plastician’s sharp ministrations. Every segue — every one — elicited a gasp or laugh of pleasure the first time I heard them, and most times thereafter as well — and there have been many.
